I frame and solve problems.
I distill complex into simple.
I seek out unfamiliar situations to grow.
I bridge disparate experiences to create cohesion.
Put more simply ...

I Design.

Before you ask,
 yes, I can make wireframes.
I build experience models, user flows, mocks, specs, define product strategy, and more.
I also enjoy exploratory / generative research; on-site interviews, cultural probes, diary studies—oh my!
Check out my RESUME for a deeper listing of my skill set.
With that out of the way,
lets move on to the tasty bits.
The past four years I helped clients define, frame, and translate their problems into solutions that address their strategic goals. My work spans across Fortune 500 companies, design consultancies, digital agencies, and local governments.
Collaboration;
the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
I love working in open, creative spaces that are crammed full of passionate and highly-collaborative individuals. Teams constructed with varied backgrounds and skill sets challenge me to grow as a person and a designer, and I believe that collaboration is critical for the success of any project.
Wicked problems, hell yeah!
I am inspired by difficult problem spaces. I would love to work on large social problems like energy management, disaster relief, (insert wicked problems), etc. I dig the challenge; I dig the act of creating grounded, people-focused solutions; and I really dig framing and solving problems.
I strive to
 help our field
 grow.
I am a local leader of IxDA Columbus, co-founder of the Midwest UX Conference, and mentor for students studying HCI/d at Indiana University.
